After over looking the fact that I have not updated this page for over ten years I thought it was about time we go through what’s happened in this time there has been many many changes
Over the past two/ three years we have demolished all our old kennels and built new larger kennels for our dogs comfort with updated safety for there heating system in line with new licence regulations
We have also refurbished our three whelprooms for the comfort of our mums and puppies so new whelpboxes new industrial flooring new wet wall and a new air circulation system
We have also invested in a brand new dog van and had An air system fitted also bispoke cages fitted for our dogs safety and comfort when travelling
After very many years of breeding and after a lot of those years whole heartedly believing that health testing makes a difference to the pups we produce it’s the sad conclusion that it does not seem to make a difference wether the parents are health tested or not for the pups they produce as even dogs with good hip and elbow scores can still produce pups with hip and elbow issues so some of our dogs are health tested and some are not
We have to weigh up the benefit of risking our dogs being put under for their X-Rays for to be scored there is always that risk that’s some of our dogs may have a reaction to being knocked out
Some are scored due to the fact they have had breeding restrictions placed on them by there breeders so have to be scored in order for these restrictions to be lifted
I want to make everyone aware of the BVAs stance on hip and elbow issues
A statement on there website reads hip dysplasia is a multifactorial disease this means there are many factors out with the parents genetics that can contribute to hip or elbow issues, factors that we as breeders are not in control of
I want to make everyone aware of this no test has any guarantee
And no dog has any guarantee of not producing a puppy with issues despite our best efforts
So we give no guarantee with any of our pups this has always been the case but again I want everyone to be aware of this
German shepherds have over 100 genetic codes in there DNA that can cause hip and elbow issues to occur these genetic codes can not be bred out of the breed

I have been raised with German shepherds and have always admired their intelligence and loving nature, they are a truly fantastic versatile dog.
I have a great love of unusual colours I do not think that shepherds should only come in Black & tan when there is such a variety of colours in natures canvas.
I got married to Scott Nicoll on the 10th of August 1996 he was brought up with west highland terriers but it did not take long before I changed his mind to loving Shepherds.
We bought our current house in1999 but had to do a lot of renovations.
Once all our renovations were completed we decided to look for a German shepherd

That is when we found Spike, he was a truly remarkable dog. After some time we felt he was a bit lonely so we found him a friend, Mika and the rest is history. Between them they have produced some fantastic puppy's.
Then our numbers kept growing and growing.
It is official we were GSD mad !!
