Hello and welcome to our website dedicated to our four legged furry family.
We are based in Dundee Scotland , we breed short and long coated german shepherds. All our dogs are family pets first and foremost and we raise our puppies indoors in a busy family environment.

We have held our Angus Council Local Authority license for almost 20 years (Mrs Catherine Nicoll DB6 ANGUS) Our current license has been issued to cover the next 3 years and we are still inspected regularly to ensure we maintain our excellent standards.
In order to maintain our exceptionally high standards we work around the clock, very few days off, even Christmas day and birthdays aren’t celebrated until our furry friends have been cared for. These sacrifices are part of our everyday family life but we wouldn’t have it any other way!

Younger dogs cannot be hip or elbow scored until they reach a year old as their joints are still developing. It should be noted that even though a dog is hip and elbow scored, this doesn’t give a guarantee any puppies they produce won’t develop problems later in life. This is an issue with German Shepherd breeds as a whole and outwith the control of individual breeders including ourselves.
The latest research indicates that neutering dogs under the age of 18 months may contribute this multifactoral desease along with poor diet and incorrect types of exercise. If you wish to find out more about this, please visit the Doggenetics website > click here to visit
A Tribute to Gizmo
Gizmo was a big boy weighing in at 50KG from a year old! He loved his food especially cheddar cheese and chicken but any food would do. He was known on occasion to raid the eggs for the girls with their pups and he would often steal a lurpack spreadable and eat the whole tub!
He also had the ability to open any door whether it was pull-in or push-out, he could literally open any handle.
He came to us from June Boorman at Aristima German Shepherds. From day one he had the most gentle nature and he and my children forged a very special bond, although Gizmo really loved everyone he was around.
He knew he was a handsome boy and would go in a huff it anyone did not make enough fuss of him when he was out and about..
It soon became apparent that Gizmo was very in tune with peoples feelings so he started training to be an assistance dog and was able to learn on the job. He loved going to fun shows with the girls and won lots of prizes - he even got his stud book number at a Kennel Club show despite being blue and tan reverse mask.
He was just such a special boy, he knew exactly when someone needed a cuddle or needed to be flattened as he jumped on your knee for a hug (I’m sure he thought he was still a puppy!) His other party trick other than opening doors and the fridge door was he could walk right through your legs and literally lift you off of your feet, he loved doing that and thought it was so funny!
Gizmo attended many appointments with my girls to help them stay calm and went on to become a therapy dog, attending Tealing Primary School for a while he became a reading dog helping children with anxiety and other sensory issues stay calm enough to read stories to him which he absolutely loved.
After a wee while being this busy and in demand became a bit too much for Gizmo so he retired from active duties although remained our trusted assistance dog for the girls and a beloved member of our family.
Sadly, Gizmo passed over the Rainbow bridge a few years ago, not only was he our assistance dog, he was also one of our stud dogs. The middle photo below is Gizmo with one of his daughters.
He was a very special dog and will be remembered, always and forever in our hearts x
